Youre Majestic,Juanitas Fury, Danielle Hall and The Grand Filly Win In OSS Gold

Two-year-old trotting fillies sparred in four OSS Gold Series divisions Monday evening at Mohawk Racetrack, and it was a night dominated by the favourites.

Youre Majestic, who was sent off at odds of 1-2 in her $52,500 division, was a going away winner in 1:57.4 for driver Doug McNair. The daughter of Majestic Son-Youre Adorable rallied for her second win in as many tries. Allerage Star was next best, with third prize earned by Desis Dream.

Tony O’Sullivan took over the training on the youngster following a private purchase by F Bellino And Sons LLC of Bronxville, New York. The rookie won her debut over Northfield Park’s half-mile oval in 1:58.1 for former trainer Ladarrius Whittaker.

Juanitas Fury is now 2-for-2 thanks to her 1:58.1 decision in the second split for the team of driver Paul MacDonell and trainer John Bax. The filly brushed to the lead in the backstretch, and after slicing out middle fractions of :59.3 and 1:29.4 she fired home in :28.2 for the win. Gee Okeefe was the runner-up, and the show dough went to Lady Caterina.

The daughter of Kadabra-Gramolas Image, who upset to the tune of 19-1 in her debut, came through for the backers that made her the 6-5 choice. Parkhill Stud Farm, Glengate Farms, Don Allensen and Gaelic Stable own the career winner of $32,350.

Danielle Hall went off as the 4-5 favourite in the third division, and she didn’t disappoint for Team Jamieson. The filly, who won her debut in 2:00 on July 3, powered to a 1:57.3 score in her first stakes assignment and she did so in come-from-behind fashion for driver Jody Jamieson. The filly defeated Sheguindah and Mets Life.

Trainer Carl Jamieson of Rockwood co-owns the daughter of Deweycheatumnhowe-Debbie Hall with Winnipeg Racing of Concord, Ontario. The $21,000 purchase from last year’s Lexington Select Yearling Sale has banked $32,250 to date. She’s the full sister to stakes winner Danica Hall (1:55.3 – $108,923).

The Grand Filly delivered on her pari-mutuel promise by winning the final tilt in 1:56.4 for driver Jody Jamieson. Sent off as the 7-5 choice, the Erv Miller trainee whacked out fractions of :28.2, :59 and 1:27.4 before using a :29-second kicker to win over Amoureuse Hanover and Allies Gift.

The Muscle Mass-Six Figure Dreams homebred is now 2-for-2 to start her career for the partnership of Mystical Marker Farms LLC of Dyer, Indiana and Paymaq Racing of Long Grove, Illinois. She’s banked $32,750 to date
