Have you ever thought about owning a racehorse? Do you love horses, love harness racing and maybe felt owning a racehorse was too expensive? Well, with fractional ownership, racehorse ownership can be very affordable.
On Friday, October 6, in conjunction with the meet-opening night at The Raceway at Western Fair District, a free racehorse ownership seminar with the focus on fractional horse ownership will be hosted. The seminar will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The seminar will feature presentations from ownership groups LandMark Racing Stables, thestable.ca and the Standardbred Breeders & Owners Association (SBOA).
All three groups offer an affordable and easy way to become involved in owning a Standardbred racehorse.
Anyone attending the workshop will receive an entry* into the Win A Share in A Racehorse contest, sponsored by the Ontario Sires Stakes and presented in conjunction with the London Selected Yearling Sale hosted at the Metroland Media Agriplex at Western Fair District on October 14 and 15. The contest winner will receive a share ($2,000 value) in LandMark 11 Stable which will include an Ontario-sired horse.
Live racing will begin that evening at 7:00 p.m.
To reserve a spot, or for more information on the seminar, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
(* – Entry is available to any resident of Ontario, 18 years of age and over, who has never owned a Standardbred, or resided in the same household as someone who owned a Standardbred. Contest is not open to employees or officials of Standardbred Canada, Ontario Racing, OLG, or any Ontario racetrack.)
