Kris Svela from ‘The Wellington Advertiser’ interviewed Ian Mathews, from the law firm representing the Standardbred breeders.
Mathews said his clients did not want to file lawsuit, but with a two-year window to take legal action, felt they should move ahead with it last week.
Later in the article Svela describes his interview with Pat and Anna Meyers from Emerald Ridge Farms in Guelph-Eramosa Township.
The Meyers said their breeding operation was decimated by the provincial government’s cancellation of the SARP.
