As you know the SBOA has tried to engage the government about compensating breeders for the losses they suffered as a result of the government’s sudden cancellation of SARP in 2012. We are hopeful that the SBOA will be able to reach an agreement but if the government is not willing to provide any form of compensation breeders need to consider their alternatives.

On Saturday, February 15, 2014 the board of the SBOA and it’s counsel, Jonathan Lisus, will hold an information session. We urge you to attend this important meeting.

The information session will coincide with the SBOA’s annual banquet. The information session is scheduled to take place at 1:00 pm at the Holiday Inn Guelph Hotel & Conference Centre located at 601 Scottsdale Drive in Guelph. Following the information session the banquet portion of the evening will commence at 5:00 pm with the SBOA’s Annual General Meeting, followed by Cocktails at 5:30 pm and Dinner at 6:30 pm.
