Somebody AS, Repeats In Dover’s Open

Corey Callahan and Somebody AS made it look easy rolling to a second consecutive victory in the $20,000 Open Handicap Trot on a windy and chilly Wednesday, March 2 at Dover Downs.

Somebody AS and Callahan got away quickly from the outside to take the early lead and continued to extend the margin until turning for home when War Cry Hall, with Tim Tetrick, picked up the pace to close within a half-length at the wire in 1:54.3. Winemaster Hanover (Toby Lynch Jr.) edged Panamanian Hanover (Tony Morgan) for third money.

Owned by Kjell Johansson and breeder ACL Stuteri, the seven-year-old altered son of Striking Sahbra-Noblesse AS recorded his third win in five starts this season. He is conditioned by Anette Lorentzon.

The victory was number 24 in Somebody AS’ career and pushed his lifetime earnings over $475,000.
