The Lampman Cup is named for  publicist extraordinaire Jim Lampman, and the  Johnston Cup commemorates the former publisher of the Canadian Sportsman magazine, Bruce Johnston.

Always an anticipated highlight of the awards evening are the citations remembering two pioneers of the modern-day Ontario breeding industry-Chris Van Bussel and Lloyd Chisholm.

The Van Bussel Award  is for exemplary service to both SBOA and the industry, while the Chisholm Award commemorates meritorious service. Those winners will be announced at the Banquet.

Masterfeeds will also present its annual Broodmare of the Year awards to the owners of the designated outstanding dams for each gait.

Other highlights of the SBOA feature evening will be the Stallion Auction (13 already confirmed) and the Silent Auction which always includes a host of sought-after entertainment or horse-oriented services. Participants must be in attendance to bid.

The evening kicks off with SBOA’s Annual General Meeting at 5:00pm, cocktails at 5:30 and Dinner at 6:30pm.

Tickets ($60) should be reserved soon and are available from SBOA directors or Aimee Adams at 519-856-4431 or aimee@sboa.info .
