Rally For Equine Industry And Others Set For Saturday, November 10 At The Royal

Ontario’s equine industry, current casino employees, and members of agricultural and Aboriginal communities affected by the Ontario Liberal government’s decision to end the Slots-At-Racetracks program have been invited to attend a rally next Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Royal Winter Fair, organized by Ontario Harness Horse Association (OHHA) General Manager Brian Tropea and Darin Kennedy.

The rally will take place at 10 a.m. at the main gate of the Royal Winter Fair with speakers including Tropea, along with municipal leaders and political figures to be announced at a later date.

The purpose of the rally is to send a strong message to the McGuinty government that its blind negligence in regards to the treatment of the horse racing industry will not be tolerated and to encourage opposition leaders Andrea Horwath and Tim Hudak to fight for a strong government partnership with the industry.
