The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame’s celebrates their 40th anniversary in 2016, with a calendar based on “So God Made a Racehorse”, an editorial penned by TROT Magazine Editor Darryl Kaplan as a tribute to the racing industry’s tremendous equine athletes, and originally inspired by Paul Harvey’s “So God Made a Farmer.”
Accompanying the poignant ode to racehorses are images of Standardbred and Thoroughbred Hall of Fame members, captured by award winning photographer Dave Landry. Horses featured include Somebeachsomewhere, Jambalaya, Dance Smartly, Bettors Delight, Wando, Izvestia, Mystic Mistress, Dreamfair Eternal, Soaring Free, Kadabra, Rocknroll Hanover and Peteski.
You are invited to meet Dave Landry, at The Raceway at Western Fair District in London, on Friday December 18 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm where he will be signing copies of the calendars. Calendars can be purchased for $15.00 each + HST.
The high quality, full colour calendar measuring 12.5”x9.5” (opens to 12.5”x 19”) is the perfect stocking stuffer for any horse enthusiast and makes an ideal gift for your favorite groom, blacksmith or farm staff.
In addition to the December 18 event in London, the calendar may be purchased through the CHRHF Online Gift Shop or at the following locations:
Wellingtons Tack, Waterdown, ON
Proceeds from the sale of the calendars support the ongoing efforts of the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame to preserve and honour the almost 250 year history of horse racing in Canada.
