The Mohawk Racetrack’s $27,000 top-class event was won by the season-debuting Ontario Sires Stakes graduate Sintra ($9.40), who advanced first-over from the backfield and surged ahead of the leading Our Sky Major N (Jonathan Drury) during the third quarter (:26.3) en route to a four-length victory, timed in 1:50.4. Jody Jamieson drove the Mach Three-Dancin Barefoot gelding for trainer David Menary and his co-owners, Brad Gray and Michael Guerriero. Early leaver Mach Code (Sylvain Filion) finished second and Erle Dale N (Bob McClure) completed the top three finish order, while last week’s Preferred winner, Dinner At The Met (Travis Cullen), chased Sintra’s cover and finished fourth.
