Ontario-Sired, Much Adoo, Wins Division Of HPIbet.com Series

Two divisions of the HPIBet.com Series went postward Friday evening at Woodbine Racetrack, with Our Hot Majorette and Much Adoo front-stepping their way to victory lane in their respective assignments.

Our Hot Majorette led almost every step of the way for trainer/driver Rick Zeron, and that put a smile on the faces of the favourite players that made the mare the 1-9 choice in the $20,000 opening division.

Zeron hustled the four-year-old Art Major-Shes So Hot miss to the lead from Post 7, and after parking past the quarter pole in :26.2 she eventually worked her way to the top. She came under attack from the parked out Dilly Dali, who was allowed to clear for a brief lead. Our Hot Majorette came back around that foe to reclaim the lead shortly past the mid-way point in :56.2, and she proceeded to lead the group to the three-quarter marker in 1:25.2. A :28.1 closing panel was used by Our Hot Majorette to seal the deal by 2-1/2 lengths over Dilly Dali. Yes You Can was third.

The 1:53.3 score for Our Hot Majorette improved her 2016 record to 3-2-1 from seven starts for Millar Farms of Newmarket, Ont. The 10-time winner bumped her career cash stash to $170,911 with the victory.

Much Adoo went to the front in her $20,000 division and didn’t look back en route to a comfortable score in 1:53.1 for the tandem of driver Trevor Henry and trainer Nick Gallucci.

The four-year-old daughter of Classic Card Shark-Michiko sliced out splits of :27.2, :56.4 and 1:25.4 before using a :27.2 kicker to win by a length over race favourite Wanda Bayama. The pocket-sitting Aniston Seelster was third.

Ontario partners Aaron Waxman of Carlisle and Alan Alber of Thornhill share ownership on Much Adoo, who now boasts a 4-1-0 record from 5 trips to the track this season. The nine-time winner lifted her lifetime earnings to $129,746 with the win.
