Mach Wheel continued his undefeated seven-year-old campaign for the Darren Crowe stable with a wire-to-wire victory in the $1,375 Winners Over pacing feature on Sunday at Truro Raceway.

The overwhelming race favourite cruised through fractions of :28.3, :58.1 and 1:28 in his sixth start this season en route to a three-length victory in 1:57.3. Sf Razamatazz finished second and Dontstandinmyway was third.

The Mach Three gelding has earned five of his six wins this year in the top class at Truro and was also victorious in his previous start in Charlottetown Driving Park’s Preferred on Oct. 31. He is a career winner of 22 races and over $258,000 in purses.

Mach Wheel is owned by Roy Springett of Windsor, N.S.

Truro’s season-leading trainer George Rennison sent out three winners from his stable during the 10-race card, including Our Star and Gwinning Gwen, both driven by Ryan Ellis, and Rambling Gambler, with Paul Langille in the sulky.
