Ontario-Sired, Camaes Fellow, Becomes Millionaire

Camaes Fellow became the newest member of harness racing’s ‘Millionaire’s Club’ thanks to a front-stepping score in his Monday evening assignment at Woodbine Racetrack.

Jonathan Drury marched Camaes Fellow to the lead from Post 5 in his $12,000 conditioned event, and together the led the field through fractions of :26.3, :55.3 and 1:23.3 before using a :29.1 closing panel to win by 5-3/4 lengths over Ufdragons Rocket in 1:52.4.

Trainer Carmen Auciello of Stouffville, ON co-owns the seven-year-old son of Mach Three-Camae with Stephen Klunowski of North York, ON. They claimed the OSS graduate for $50,000 last fall, and since then they’ve celebrated a number of winner’s circle appearances including a number of wins at the Preferred level. The victory was his seventh of the season, and the 33rd of his career.
