Ontario Liberal Budget Passes

On Tuesday, June 11 in the Ontario Legislature, members of Provincial Parliament voted 64-36 in favour of passing the Liberal Party’s budget, thus averting a July provincial election.

“I won’t deny that I am relieved that we are here,” Premier Kathleen Wynne told reporters afterward.

Premier added that her plan is to continue to govern. “I’ve said that all along. We have the 2013 budget and I look forward to working toward . . . next year, absolutely.”

Ontario’s MPPs are scheduled to return to Queen’s Park on September 9.
