Ontario-Bred, Call Me Richard, Wins Second Consecutive Preferred In Georgian

Call Me Richard registered his second consecutive win in the $11,000 Preferred 2 Trot at Georgian Downs, but Tuesday’s attempt to repeat wasn’t a cakewalk like his previous outing.

J Harris got away fourth with Call Me Richard in Tuesday’s main event, but the pair inched closer to the leaders in the late stages of the mile. Harris milked :30.1 closing speed form the Clare Bradshaw pupil over the final quarter of the contest, and that was good enough to earn him the nose decision over Bambino Hall in 1:56.1. Taking home third money was Lexis D J.

The four-year-old son of Muscle Mass-Olympic Dreams has assembled a 3-3-3 record from nine trips to the track this season, and along the way he’s managed to bank more than $28,000. Princeton Farms Inc of Scotland, Ont. owns the nine-time winner who recently surpassed $100,000 in lifetime earnings.
