Mother’s Day Open House 2014 At Mac Lilley Farms

Mac_LIlley_Farms_Group_Picture copy It was a beautiful sunny Mother’s Day on May 11, 2014. One of the first wonderful summer days after our long cold winter of 2013-2014.

Over 200 friends, neighbours, and horse enthusiasts, came out to Mac Lilley Farms in Dutton, Ontario, to see the latest foals.

The visitors were asked to choose a name for one of the new born colts.

The kids enjoyed painting horse shoes, while  friends and neighbours visited and toured the facility.

The South Western Ontario Standardbred Horse Show girls served up hotdogs and drinks.

It seemed almost therapeutic when people and horses connected. The older in the crowd would reminisce about the work horses once used on their farms, while the younger where happy to come face-to-face with the elegant animals for the first time.

We all sported a new tan after our day of fun at the 2014’s Mother’s Day Open House.
