Mohawk Feature To Warrawee Xalt

Warrawee Xalt

Warrawee Xalt topped the Monday (Sept. 18) evening card at Woodbine Mohawk Park after winning the $21,000 condition trot in 1:53.4.

Doug McNair and the Richard Moreau student flew from the outer wings on a diagonal to the front. The pair set the tempo in an opening panel clocked in :27.3 before Bella Cavalla (Scott Young) pulled first over to take over. Bella Cavalla did not clear before she hit the half panel buzzer in :56.3. Settling in to the front, Young and Bella Cavalla carved out the three-quarters in 1:25.1 while Warrawee Xalt continued on the helmet in the pocket. With ample use of the passing lane, Warrawee Xalt was able to pose a challenge from the inside of leading Bella Cavalla. Midway down the lane, Warrawee Xalt yielded the lead and kept on going to win by a half length. Bella Cavalla settled for second and Ricky Resolve (Samara Johnson) grabbed third.

Warrawee Xalt is owned by Sylvain Cote and Matthew McManus. The four-year-old gelded son of Royalty For Life and the Kadabra mare Noble Peace Prize has five wins this season with $84,100 banked and 10 career wins to go along with $159,090 earned.
