An impressive effort Saturday afternoon at Solvalla has earned trotting mare Maven an invite to the 2015 Elitloppet in two months time.

Competing against a group of mares in a 2,140 metre race, Maven and driver Johnny Takter were dominant and victorious in a mile rate of 1:54.4.

After the race, Markus Myron, Solvalla’s Sports Director was present with the official invitation, stating “now we hope for a Yes from her owner/trainer.”

Trained by Jimmy Takter, Maven (Glidemaster – M Stewart) is owned by John Fielding of Toronto, Ont., Herb Liverman, of Miami Beach, Fl. (by way of Montreal) and Joyce McClelland of Zanesville, Ohio. This was her first win of 2015 with all of her starts coming in Europe.
