It Is Five Wins In A Row For Ontario-Sired, Nadia Can Go

Brydown Farms’ four-year-old pacing mare Nadia Can Go earned her fifth consecutive victory at The Raceway at the Western Fair District, going wire-to-wire in Wednesday night’s (March 16) finale.

The popular Heather Toll trainee wired her foes in a season’s-best 1:58 flat in the $8,800 fillies and mares pace for non-winners of $32,500 lifetime (with allowances). Spilling The Beans followed two and a half lengths behind off a pocket trip in second and Brittle finished third after launching three-wide off stalled cover down the backside.

Nadia Can Go, who is now six-for-eight on the year, is a nine-time career winner with earnings of $48,648.

Garrett Rooney has driven the Major In Art mare throughout her current five-race win streak at The Raceway, which began on Feb. 17. The victory capped off a driving triple for the Iona, Ont. horseman.
