“Right now, there is no future. That’s why breeders are hit the most severely, especially the smaller ones.” That’s former SBOA director Dr. David Grant talking in an article in the Hamilton Spectator.
The equine veterinarian says he usually helps with the breeding on about 60 mares in and around Norfolk County. In 2012, Grant says, that number nosedived to six.
