Fourth Consecutive Victories For Ontario-Sired, Perfect Mass

Not even a jump up the class ladder was enough to derail Perfect Mass for a fourth consecutive victory in Monday’s featured trotting tilt at Woodbine Racetrack.

Perfect Mass, who was making her debut for trainer Matt Dupuis, got away seventh in the early going while Shivered shot to the top and served up first-half fractions of :28.3 and :59 before self destructing.

Perfect Mass commenced a rally going to the half, and Chris Christoforou still had his charge sitting seventh as On First streaked past the three-quarter pole in 1:29.2. Christoforou showed his mare racetrack in the lane and she powered home in :29.3 over a track rated ‘good’ to win by 1-1/2 lengths over Winning Lyric in 1:59.4. Muscle Almighty was third.

Sent off at just shy of 10-1 in the wagering, the four-year-old daughter of Muscle Mass-Perfect Prelude improved her lifetime record to 8-1-2 from 20 starts with the win. Synerco Ventures Inc of Toronto, Ont. owns the career winner of $45,342.
