OMAFRA Horse Racing Transition Panel member John Snobelen has told radio personalities Paul and Carol Motts that the Panel’s Final Report was submitted Monday, October 15th.
None of the recommendations requires legislation, Snobelen said, so the current prorogation of parliament will not be a delaying factor.
Snobelen also told the Motts that Agriculture Minister Ted McMeekin has been very proactive over the racing issue and that the Report contains no recommendations that will come as a surprise to government officials.
The former PC Cabinet Minister also said he expects it will take at least two weeks for any official comment on the Report to be released.
