Dali Standing In 2015 At Kendal Hills

Officials with Kendal Hills Equine have announced that Dali p,3,1:48.2f ($1,436,363) will stand at its Campbellcroft, Ont. nursery for the 2015 breeding season.

Dali (Real Artist – Armbro Tea, by Matts Scooter) showed magnificent early speed at age two, punctuated by his dominant wins in the 2007 Niatross and Woodrow Wilson stakes.

Even though he showed amazing speed right at the beginning of his career, Dali still had a high-octane motor right through to the end of this three-year-old campaign in 2008. That speed was on display yet again in the 2008 Matron Stakes final when he scorched Dover Downs’ five-eighths mile oval in a then-world-record 1:48.2.

From a small, Ontario-eligible test breeding, Dali had just 14 foals in his first crop. Astonishingly, all 14 made it to the races with 11 of them winning. Leading the way from this group is recent Niagara Stakes winner at Woodbine, Witch Dali p,3,1:51.2s ($74,220). Other notable performers from this crop include Blacktree p,3,1:53.1s ($71,206), Weatherly p,3,1:52s ($63,935) and Bali p,3,1:54h ($49,497).

Dali’s second crop (Indiana-eligible) raced as two-year-olds in 2014. This crop also showed the same proficiency of making the races at age two with 44 foals racing from just 61 that were eligible. Eleven-time winner Northern Dali p,2,1:54.3s ($45,797), and My Buddy Ninkster p,2,1:54.1s led the way from this crop.

Overall, Dali has already produced 8 in 1:55 and 2 in 1:53, from just 58 who have raced.

Dali will stand the 2015 season at Kendal Hills Equine for a fee of $2,000 with all foals eligible to the Ontario Sires Stakes program.
