The Cattlewash Syndicate and Tara Hills Stud announced on Thursday that the 2024 book for world champion Cattlewash is now full and closed.
After breeding a small book of mares while still racing at age four, the fastest stallion sired by the legendary Somebeachsomewhere bred 178 mares in each of the past two years, leading all Standardbred stallions standing in North America. In 2024, he has once again been extremely popular with breeders.
A multiple stakes winner at two, three and four, Cattlewash earned more than $1.3 million while facing arguably one of the toughest groups of pacers ever assembled each year he raced. Cattlewash has impressed horsemen and breeders alike with his outstanding good looks, kind disposition and extreme fertility. Knowledgeable horsemen have noted Cattlewash is the mirror image of his sire Somebeachsomewhere, resembling him more than any of his other sons.
His first crop of 36 New Jersey eligible two-year-olds are now in training and Tara Hills Stud has reported they are impressing their trainers with their athleticism, intelligence and gait.
