Canadian Hall of Fame Art Auction on Breeders Crown Night, Oct. 29 at Woodbine

The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame is contributing to the special atmosphere of Breeders Crown night at Woodbine Racetrack by hosting an Art Auction within its on-site premises.

Available for admiration and purchase on Saturday, October 29th will be a broad selection of both Standardbred and Thoroughbred-themed works. Bidding opens at 11:00am and will close on the Thoroughbred pieces at 6:00pm and at 8:00pm for the Standardbred art.

Represented are equine specialists like Sir Alfred Munnings, Richard Stone Reeves, and Fred Stone, in addition to local artists. Works are included from the Morrissey/Stavro Estate Collection and Windfields Farm.

Highlighting the harness racing offerings will be a print (25/50) of Somebeachsomewhere by noted Campbellville, ON artist Linda Shantz. The original was commissioned to celebrate the stellar pacer’s induction into the Hall of Fame.

Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame.
