Canadian Breeder of the Year Honour to Dr. Mike Wilson of Warrawee Farm

Dr. Mike Wilson of Warrawee Farm picked up his second prestigious Standardbred breeding industry award in a week when he was named Canada’s Breeder of the year at the prestigious O’Brien Awards on Jan. 28th in Mississauga.

Just one week earlier SBOA had honoured the Rockwood ON resident as the recipient of the Chris Van Bussel Award for service to both the Association and the industry.

Warawee Farm has a history of producing outstanding performers on the racetrack but 2011 proved an exemplary one for the operation. Thirty-one starters won 101 races and over $2.4 Million last season. These included Warrawee Needy, (another 2011 O’Brien Award winner), Mystician, Mister Herbie and Warrawee Koine.
