Badlands Hanover Breeding Ended for 2013

The breeding season for Badlands Hanover has officially come to an end.

Several weeks ago some breeding issues emerged with the horse which led Winbak Farm to withdraw him from breeding in an effort to remedy the situation. However, that has been unsuccessful.

“We really are not 100 per cent sure just what the problem is but he’s on the shelf for the rest of the season which is nearly here,” explained farm owner Joe Thomson.

“The best thing for the horse is to let him come right and we have every confidence that he will. He did breed a number of mares earlier on but nothing like what he had done in the past given the problems with the Ontario horse industry.”

Now 17 years old, the son of Western Hanover remains based at the Inglewood, Ontario farm.
