Aces N Sevens Passes

It has been announced that the 17-year-old Cams Card Shark stallion Aces N Sevens has passed away.

Australian Harness Racing has reported that Aces N Sevens passed away during the overnight hours of Monday, July 21 and was discovered deceased this morning (Tuesday, July 22).

The four-time New South Wales sire of the year was to stand at Paul Carmody’s Lochend Stud for the second time after previously standing at Pepper Tree Farm, Egmont Park (Queensland) and Rosehill Farm (Victoria). It is suspected Aces and Sevens passed away of a heart attack.

“We are still in a bit of shock,” AHR has quoted Carmody as saying.

“I went to the paddock this morning and found him. I’m suspecting he had a heart attack but I cannot be 100 per cent sure.”

Aces And Sevens’ North American progeny earned more than $10.9-million in purses. Twenty-eight of his offspring earned more than $100,000 during their racing careers. Some of his most successful offspring include Drumfire A ($553,584), Martys Charm ($456,027), Ruthless Ace ($440,419), Lettucerocku A ($365,880) and Ardyne Ace ($355,424).
