50th Win For Ontario-Sired, Mcrileymac

Veteran pacer Mcrileymac rallied four-wide at the third quarter mark and circled a field of claiming rivals to earn his 50th career win on Saturday night at Hiawatha Horse Park.

Mcrileymac kicked home to win the evening’s seventh race for $4,000 claiming pacers by two and a half lengths in 1:58 flat over Harper Marie and Top Of The Morning. Sent off at odds of 14-1 in the eight-horse field, Mcrileymac paid $30.40 for the upset win.

Owned by Ellie Mayhew of Windsor, Ont., the son of Bo Knows Jate has earned over $300,000 in 297 races.

Saturday’s victory was the 13-year-old gelding’s second in a row and followed a 2:00.3 triumph at Leamington Raceway last weekend. He was driven by Jeffrey Mayhew and is trained by Lindsey Kerr.
